Who We Are

Evan Shout, CPA, CA
Evan Shout is the president and co founder of Maverick Ag Ltd, a business risk management and consulting firm focused on insurance and data analytics. He also sits as Chief Financial Officer at Hebert Grain Ventures (HGV), a 27,000-acre grain and oilseed operation in southeast Saskatchewan.
Evan is a CPA and worked with MNP in his past career, having a specialty in large scale primary producer grain operations.

Kristjan Hebert, CPA, CA
Kristjan Hebert was born and raised a farmer. He left the family farm briefly to get his commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a stint at MNP while obtaining his CPA, but returned to pursue his passion for farming.
Kristjan is the managing partner of Hebert Grain Ventures (HGV), a large grain and oilseed operation in southeast Saskatchewan. Danny Klinefelter, of TEPAP, refers to Kristjan as “one of the most progressive young farmers he knows”.

Lauren Parker, CAIB
Lauren Parker began her career in an administrative capacity at MNP in 2011. Unable to give up either role, she spent several years in a dual role of internal education planning for the firm while also working with farm clients in MNP’s agricultural services niche. Driven to learn more about the farming and accounting industries, she completed the accounting program at Saskpolytech while gaining practical knowledge working hands on with producers in her full-time role as a bookkeeper and administrator with MNP.
Lauren develops visual curriculum design and provides administrative support for Farmer Coach.
Her role marries her passions for education, agriculture and design. Lauren brings her attention to detail, problem solving skills and excellent client service to her role.

Stephanie Lloyd
After completing Saskatoon Business College’s Legal Assisting programs in 2012, Stephanie began her administrative career working as a legal assistant. In 2016, Stephanie traded lawyers for
accountants and joined MNP’s administrative team, within their agriculture niche. From this she developed an interest in working with producers and learning about their operations.
Stephanie is responsible for logistics planning and creative support for Farmer Coach. She is a skilled problem solver and can prioritize and manage projects with ease.
