Evan Shout, CPA, CA
Evan Shout is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer at Maverick Ag, an agriculture business consulting and risk management firm in Canada. He also sits as Co-Founder and Lead Coach at Farmer Coach, an education and executive coaching program for primary producers in both Canada and the US.
These organizations fall under the Hebert Group of Companies, which also includes Hebert Grain Ventures, a 42,000-acre grain and oilseed operation in Southeast Saskatchewan, where Evan sits as Chief Financial Officer.
He also hosts The Truth About Ag podcast, a raw, off-the-cuff discussion of the real-time issues facing agriculture today.
Kristjan Hebert, CPA, CA
Kristjan Hebert was born and raised a farmer. He left the family farm briefly to get his commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a stint at MNP while obtaining his CPA, but returned to pursue his passion for farming.
Kristjan is the President of Hebert Group, which is the parent company of Hebert Grain Ventures, a large grain and oilseed operation in southeast Saskatchewan, and Maverick Ag, a consulting and risk management firm.
Danny Klinefelter, founder of TEPAP, once referred to Kristjan as “one of the most progressive young farmers he knew."
Amy Ens
Amy coordinates the behind-the-scenes logistics of Farmer Coach, including registrations, venues, learning materials, and session prep. She’s the person making sure everything is where it needs to be, on time and in the right hands.
With a background in Ag finance and years of experience with Maverick Ag, she brings practical insight and a deep understanding of the people in the room. Drawing on her extensive background in the Ag industry and her experience in public relations, she is passionate about creating a seamless experience for participants and helping farm leaders get the most out of each session.
